"This was the nicest Indian food I’ve had in a long time! The food not only looks amazing but tastes incredible. So fresh and full of flavour. The absolute highlight was the lamb shank bhuna! Already making plans to go back."

"Lovely restaurant, great staff. Very clean. I have been past this place so many times over the years but never popped in, until now! The Joys of Spice have taken it over from the previous tenants. We had the usual poppadoms and yogurt etc then I had chicken Pasanda with a mixture of Coconut rice and Keema Rice and we shared a Pashwaree bread ( sorry about spelling). Stuffed but very satisfied. A must come and visit. You must put in your car reg when you come in."

"Visited for 1st time on Saturday 21st February. The four of us all had different meals and we really enjoyed them. I had the chicken Korai with mushroom rice and thought the food was very good. I have given a 5 star rating and will will go back again for certain. The staff were very friendly and the wait for our meal was not that bad even though it was very busy when we arrived at 7.30pm. If I had to be picky and give any negative comments regarding the actual restaurant I would say that it is a very large modern room and I think a little bit of background music would have provided a slightly better atmosphere. As for the food itself, it really was excellent, everything that came to our table was well cooked and looked great, it was very very good. Once again, if I had to pick a negative I think the only thing I can think of is when we were having poppadoms at the start of our meal maybe another lot of sides (onion salad, lime pickle, mango chutney and mint sauce)would have been ideal as 4 people sharing 4 small dishes was a bit tricky but that's really not a complaint, just my opinion. All in all though it was top class and can't wait to go back."

"Joy’s Indian Spice – A Hidden Gem Near Holiday Inn Absolutely superb. Just a short stroll from the Holiday Inn, Joy’s Indian Spice delivers on every front. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food? Outstanding. Packed with flavour, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. You really couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommended for anyone staying nearby — or even worth going out of your way for. A brilliant find."

"The quality of food is excellent, with generous portion sizes. My wife had to take some of hers away with her because she couldn't finish it all. They have a great selection of dishes, and the menu is extensive. Some larger dishes require 24 hours' notice to cook, so reviewing the menu in advance is advised. The selection of drinks is also extensive. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, and we were looked after well during our meal. As for the atmosphere, you can find other Indian restaurants quite dim/dark, but this place is bright and tastefully decorated, with music in the background"

"We had some really delicious dishes here, served quickly and with great, friendly service. Everything was fresh, tasty, and hot - and it tasted and felt like there was very little oil or grease. We had a chicken madras and a lamb rogan josh, with onion bhaji and butterflied king prawn to start. The setting was modern and stylised, but it didn't feel tacky or overdone like some restaurants can be. I felt like the decor suited the space. My only criticism would be they need to take better care of their plants! I would definitely recommend Joys Spice to my friends and family, and we intend to go back again soon to try other items on the menu (particularly the specials)."
